Perseverance

I’m making slow progress on formatting my book.  I have all the blogs in a row, and now I have to get them onto a Word document.  That’ll take some doing, as I don’t know my way around the computer yet.  Joe, a friend, may help me, and he is the one through whom the Holy Spirit has come before.

I spent the first part of the afternoon in prayer, to figure this all out.  I got some answers, and some questions.  But I’ll persevere.  See me tomorrow.

Snow Drops

After months of trying, I finally was able to change my PIN (password) to my computer.  I had begun to believe it was the will of God.  But prayers are answered.  I got the help of the Holy Spirit, the Assister of Old Brains.

I look forward to March, when spring makes its entrance.   The snowdrops blooming near my front door have mostly wilted, but they’ll be back before next February.  Amazing is Nature.

Most people who don’t frequent gardening stores don’t know what God has laid out for our enjoyment, but I planted those bulbs a few years ago.  If you bother to notice, life is full of wonders.

True or Hacked

These computers are getting self-important.  I wanted to change my computer password and ran into obstacles all the time.  Finally I called Microsoft, and got some of their foreign help, whom I was only able to understand because I have a phone for the hard of hearing.  It worked.

Finally, I secured my computer with a new password.  I was able to figure out what the instructor was saying, and he was a patient man.  God makes things that are honest and true, but man makes things that can be misused and hacked.

Bless the men and women, believers or not, who still follow the truth of the Bible whether they know it or not.

Love Your Enemies

Love your enemies.  Do good for your enemies.  For a while, my enemy was Restoro, a subsidiary of Microsoft.  I hired them for $400 because I couldn’t reset a Microsoft password.  Well, they failed miserably.  They cleaned up my computer, but didn’t get the glitch.

So I called my bank and said I was disputing that $400 payment, but that night I started my computer, and on a parallel app I was able to reset the password.  I thought about Christ’s advice to love our enemies.  I am no longer disputing Restoro’s repair, even though it worked through a different app.

Resilience

It makes sense to forgive your enemies when the alternative is to have them consume your days with worry and ailment.  Probably these are minimum conditions, but it’s hard to be a hero.

I had a company (no names) soak me for $400 to revamp my computer, and they never fixed the minor item that caused me to go to them.  It is hard to forget that amount without making attempts to get it back.

Whether I get it back or not, it is little compared to eternal salvation.  (I have to keep reality in mind, not just the material.)  I’ve probably lost more than that before.
