For weeks now it seemed I just did not get enough sleep, though I kept the same hours. Finally, I feel I’ve recovered from a fall that took me by surprise, and I finally really enjoyed blueberry pancakes for breakfast. The world looks better despite the bad news, like Cuba, China, Nigeria—the spiritual children of Marx, Mohammed, and Mao.
We need life-giving mentality, like what inspired Western Civilization from Medieval to Modern times, and that is scarce or lost in a world so diversified. The USA was a leader in that arena, but there were those who did not see that, right here on these shores.
The USA will revive, and I see that in the Olympics. Not that patriotism outdoes love of God and fellow man, but it’s a start.
