A rich man recently paid almost $500,000 for a permit to hunt a big horn sheep. They have recently been returned to the Rocky Mountains at the request of wealthy hunters, and they adorn those picturesque wilds. Hunting them is strictly regulated by law.
Some of the beneficiaries have been the Cree Indians, on whose lands the sheep herds now live. One man recently got his trophy the old-fashioned way, by bow and arrow. He shot at 80 yards, nearly the length of a football field.
