My son knows who my favorite college football teams are, so yesterday he called to invite me to his house to see Boston College play Missouri, and at the same time, Notre Dame play Wisconsin. (You know who I’m for, even though Wisconsin has a player named Kuechli, a decidedly Swiss name). Both games started at noon, so it was a double-header.
Boston College won by scoring two consecutive goals in overtime, while Notre Dame had two interceptions, with goals for them, in the last few minutes. To add to all this triumph, Freddy and Paula served us lunch, with my favorite, cream cheese and lox on a Kaiser roll (bagel’s too hard), bought at a Jewish deli.
